***When online bidding closes, if this item has not been won with a Buy It Now bid, the highest online bid for this item will become its starting bid at the event auction.  The winner will be determined at the event auction.  If you would like to be represented with absentee bidding for a single birdhouse, please contact Laura Ann Mann at lauraann@cahfh.com or (706) 653-6003.

A Feathered Affair is a family-friendly event and will have fun for kids too.  Home Depot has provided birdhouse kits for children to create.  The event’s purpose is to engage the community and educate them about how Habitat is working in the Fountain City.  We also hope to have a little fun and raise funds to continue working towards our goal of eliminating poverty housing in Columbus.  This event was last seen in Columbus in 2002.

A Feathered Affair would not be possible without our sponsors: Page, Scrantom, Sprouse, Tucker & Ford, P.C., Columbus Bank and Trust, Georgia Power, Uptown Columbus, The Home Depot, Target Marketing Advertising, XPRESS Printing and Design, and PMB Broadcasting, LLC.

Columbus Area Habitat for Humanity creates partnerships to construct and sell housing for those in need; building in communities that will be strengthened by these volunteer efforts.  Columbus Area Habitat for Humanity also seeks to raise awareness of critical housing issues; motivated by the belief that everyone should have, at least, a simple decent house in which to live. Houses are sold at no profit, with no-interest mortgages repaid over a twenty year period. House payments are used to continue to build more houses in Columbus.
